Festivals Kelowna is a non-profit society that produces free outdoor programs and events including Parks Alive!, the Kelowna Buskers Program, the Celebrate Canada Day – Kelowna festivities, and New York New Year's Eve family celebration. We introduced 2 fun new programs in 2015 including "Pianos in the Parks" and "Arts on the Avenue", a visual arts festival. We will also be presenting "Buskers on Bernard" again this summer in mid-August, as part of our Kelowna Buskers Program.

We proudly work with the City of Kelowna, our major funder and a key supporter of community-focused, accessible, cultural festivals and events to animate our parks and public spaces.

Come visit us in our offices at #100-260 Harvey Avenue in the Commerce Centre at the corner of Harvey Avenue and Water Street.

Our annual programs and events include:

Parks Alive! is a community oriented program that encourages use of Kelowna’s parks and public spaces through multiple, free, live performances of music and other cultural activities by both local and touring artists.

Arts on the Avenue is a new one day, 5 hour arts-focused, outdoor event  celebrating and promoting our local visual artist community. This new and funky event will feature various elements relating to visual arts, from opportunities for retail sales, art exhibition and demos, to performance art installations.  Download an application here. Here is a list of this year's participating artists.

Celebrate Canada Day - Kelowna is a one-day, community festival dedicated to celebrating our Canadian pride through music, food, and art.

Pianos in Parks is our newest program and was introduced in June 2015.  Thanks to our partners, 5 public pianos have been placed in downtown Kelowna and will be available for anyone to play from mid-June to the end of September. We welcome the world to make beautiful music in our parks and public spaces.

New York New Years was introduced in 2012 as a way for our community and families with young children to ring in the New Year together. Held in Jim Stuart Park on December 31st from 6:00 to 9:00 pm each year, families are invited to ring in the New Year with us at this free celebration featuring live music, kids activities, skating, fireworks and more.

The Kelowna Buskers Program is a year-round program that welcomes local and touring buskers/street performers to present their unique art form in designated "Busk Stops" throughout the downtown, and other locations in Kelowna.
